Integrative psychotherapy

Integrative psychotherapy is a holistic, client-based approach, both goal- and solution-oriented.

As humans, our behaviours, thoughts, emotions, physical health and social relationships all contribute to our wellbeing. A holistic approach embraces all of these dimensions. 
Each person is unique and requires a personalised, tailor-made approach to treatment.

Psychotherapy is both goal- and solution-oriented, addressing not only surface symptoms but also underlying triggers. The overall goal of therapy is to activate and enhance your innate self-healing capacities and mechanisms.

 
Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy involves the induction of a hypnotic state to treat physical and mental disorders.

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration.

During this state, the therapist makes therapeutic suggestions to deal with conditions such as
  • Trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, 
  • Phobias
  • Behavioural control issues e.g. stop smoking, lose weight
  • Dealing with chronic pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine headaches

Anxiety, stress and fear are common in patients undergoing cancer treatment.  Hypnosis can help reduce these symptoms.

 
Coaching

The focus of coaching is on achieving your personal goals. Whether in your professional or personal life, a coach can help you achieve your goals more quickly.

Typical coaching topics include

  • Developing skills such as active listening, giving and receiving feedback

Couples Counseling

In couples counselling, a couple may choose to work on strengthening their relationship or they may choose to focus on problem solving.  By exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours in the context of their relationship, couples gain insight into their dynamics and develop strategies for positive change. The ultimate goal is to set new relationship goals and rebuild trust and intimacy. 

When going through the painful process of divorce, counselling can help couples through this transition.

 
EMDR

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is an approach to psychotherapy that helps people reduce the distress associated with traumatic memories. 

EMDR is based on the idea that traumatic experiences can become 'stuck' in the brain's memory networks, leading to ongoing psychological distress and symptoms such as anxiety, depression, flashbacks and intrusive thoughts.

In addition to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), EMDR has been shown to be effective for a range of other mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, phobias and grief

Please note that the sessions are not covered by basic Dutch health insurance.

Sessions are partially covered by additional insurance packages.
